Welcome to the Computer Lab at
Central Elementary School! I am Mrs. Linda Clark, the computer lab teacher.
This is my third year at Central. I
teach over 600 students, grades K-3, every week. The students have utilized the
computer programs Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Paint, KidPix, and Kidspiration. Using
these programs the children
have created multi-tasked projects such as illustrated acrostic poems, riddles,
"wanted posters," collages,
and PowerPoint slide shows.
In addition, the students are able to access programs such as Academy of Reading and Accelerated Reader to improve reading skills. Finally, whenever possible, the students browse the Internet and have discovered that they can visit places as diverse as The St. Louis Zoo or the castles of Europe without ever leaving the school property! I hope that you enjoy the sample of students' work that I have chosen to highlight on this Website.
