On behalf of the entire Central family I would like to
take the opportunity to welcome you to our school!
The faculty members of Central are an incredibly
talented, creative and caring group who are committed to assisting your student
in their transition from early elementary to upper elementary school both
academically and socially.
I look forward to meeting each student in the school as
much as possible. It is my belief that
the more proactive we can be the less time we will need to spend on discipline
issues. With that in mind, I am
encouraging all students to seek me or Mrs. Assareh
out before problems arise. If a
discipline problem does arise that requires parental input, we will be in
contact with you as soon as possible. As the principal, I also want to extend
an invitation to the parents/guardians of ours students to visit with me
regarding any suggestions or concerns you may have regarding your student
progress this year.
This is my second year at Central
Elementary. Before I had the privilege of coming to Central I was the principal
at Clark-Vitt for 4 years here in Union. I also have
been a part of the Independence School District, near Kansas City, for 6 years
as a teacher and Assistant Principal. I
have been a basketball, baseball and football coach. Before that I taught 7th and 8th
grade science for six years in Lexington, MO.
I graduated from Southwest Missouri State University, now Missouri State
University, in 1994 with my undergraduate degree, and I completed my Masters
Degree in Administration from Park University.
Recently I finished up my Specialist Degree at Missouri Baptist
University.
I have a wonderful wife and a nine-year-old
daughter that keep me on my toes. I am a
huge Cardinal, Blues and Rams fan, so it is good to be back on this side of the
state! I also love to play golf and
spending time with my family!
